New Wizard of Oz Entry

Yes, I know my collection has been in the entry before. Yes, I know I'm crazy for moving it again. But I LOVE it now! On a side note, please excuse the stacks of books, cat toys and can of paint in the room :) I love how my new rug brings it all together and I got it at Big Lots for only $20!
Here is a closer look at the big hutch.

And now let's take a peek inside it, shall we?

Here is another hutch on the opposite side of the curtain.

Here is the curtains covering the french doors between the hutches. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!
Here is the green hutch I kept because it fit the space I had available and my apple tree.
And it's contents. I don't like how it's squished inside there and will eventually do something about that.

This is under the stairs and beside the green hutch.
This is at the foot of the stairs
And there you have it!

How many Christmas trees are too many?

Wizard of Oz/Guest Room tree. I've made changes to it since I've put it up and I'm not completely done with it yet. But here it is so far.

Main bathroom tree
Master bedroom trees

Kitchen Tree

Sports Tree
Main Entry Hall Tree

Sun room tree which is my Charlie Brown tree.

Plus all the little trees outside.

And I still continue buying them.

I think it's a sickness.

Guess who got a new clock?

That's right............ME! This is one of the new ones for the 75th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz that Kmart is carrying this holiday season. They didn't have the other one in yet and this was one of only two left of this kind!

The Wizard has a new home

So recently I told you about a hutch top we bought for $9.99 here. We also had an end table we picked up on the side of the road somewhere (that I cannot find a picture of) that we used for this project. My fabulous husband built a base, added the legs and TaDa!
It's my new Hutch to hold all of my Wizard of Oz Memorabilia! Well ok, it still doesn't all fit, but more of it fits in this one than the last one!

I had acquired a toddler size pair of ruby slippers somewhere along the line and took those out, added them to a frame I had painted and TaDa, I have a new wall hanging!
I adore those hanging shoes! The only problem I encountered was how to cover up the insides of the shoes. Of course my head jumped to paint and stuck there so I had to call my Mommy who suggested stuffing them, Genius! I added the birdhouse sign above it that says "There's no place like home" to tie in all the birdhouses that I also have in my sun room.
I hung this poster up only to have to move it to another wall so I could fit my other two pictures up. My walls are mostly windows and I'm running out of room!
And since one thing leads to another and I moved my Wizard of Oz stuff out of the entry hall, I had to move a few other things around to dress my entry hall which is still a work in progress.

Yep, a lot of empty frames while working on placement. I'll work on filling them later ;)
